Welcome to the Sci Cam Blog! As there’s so much awesome and unusual science being done that we wanted to tell you about that we couldn’t fit into a monthly show we’ve decided to branch out with this blog. Every week that there isn’t a Sci Cam show we’ll be publishing a blog post from one of our team. We’ll be covering a wide range of topics and styles, from more in-depth discussions of the topics from our shows, to the science behind news stories we’ve seen in-between shows, and from serious discussion of the scientific issues facing society to whimsical meanderings about science and culture.
We’re also moving to a more regular schedule with our shows; we’ll be live on Google+ and YouTube on the second Tuesday of every month. We’ll be releasing blog posts on Tuesdays too, so come back here every Tuesday and you’ll find some interesting science to expand your mind.
Don’t forget that you can follow us on Google+ (https://plus.google.com/116506980102040404523/posts) and Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/SciCam) where we’ll be posting reminders for new blog posts and shows, as well as sharing any other science stories that catch our eye. You can also subscribe to the blog using an RSS reader by adding the feed URL http://www.contrarythoughts.com/category/sci-cam/feed/ (if you just go there using a web browser you’ll see gobbledygook, I suggest using feedly.com if you want an RSS reader to pick up articles from all the blogs you enjoy)
We hope you enjoy our new blog and our now-regular show. Feel free to ask questions using the comments below each post!
